Everything in the universe has a beginning and end, except energy. In physics the basic law of energy states, energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only be transformed from one form to another. If we think about the beginning of time, before the birth of celestial bodies like planets and stars etc., then the only thing that could have existed must have been energy. At this point you might think WTF…. let me explain. There is another physics law, the Second Law of Thermodynamics, which in layman’s basically refers to the decay of matter in nature… a tree will grow, get old, start dying and then ultimately decompose until it reaches the maximum state of equilibrium... We will all die like dogs one day…, but remember, the basic law of energy, “energy cannot be destroyed”, which means we will live forever in which ever state our energy has been transformed to when we die. And yes I agree that we are all a mixed bag of consciousness. I think its fair to say that we can be highly conscious on some topics, like the unconditional love of a child, but we most likely are not quite capable of being unconditionally loving of ourselves....for example.
